Olympic.ca, a constant evolution
I managed the redesign and relaunch of olympic.ca and olympique.ca in August 2013, then continued to run the site: quality control, measurement, reporting, content and user experience. The vision was a world-class site for a National Olympic Committee that could handle major traffic surges and still feel fast on a phone.

What we did
- Mobile consumption grew from 15% (2013) to 72% (Rio 2016).
- 2013: full redesign and relaunch of a responsive, mobile-first website. A January 2014 homepage redesign followed.
- 2014: focus on registration flows and funnels.
- 2015: focus on editorial pages with enhanced stories, photos and videos.
- 2016: focus on utility for stock pages: athletes, sports and Games.
- 2018: focus on a fan-customizable Olympic schedule, a curling game and personalized content.
- Enhanced custom search by sport, athlete and Games, a separate French domain (olympique.ca) and a consolidated single-site strategy that merged all existing properties.
- Improved stability and performance through a WordPress partnership. Won many awards for the site.
